Vývoj buku lesního (Fagus sylvatica L.) na trvale výzkumné ploše ÚZPL 'Modřín' (porosty 131F17/8b a 130A8a) s různými probírkovými režimy na ŠLP „Masarykův les"Křtiny
Weissová, Sandra
European beech ranks among the most important economic trees of our landscape. Over the years, its representation in stands in the territory of the Czech Republic is rapidly increasing, mainly due to its properties. In this bachelor's thesis, the development of european beech is compared with different thinning regimes on permanent research areas at ŠLP Křtiny. These regimes include level, sub-level thinning and a non-interventional variant of regimes. The results published in this work are based on the established dendrometric values, which were measured from 1961 in an interval of 5 years until 2020. Beech responds best to sub-level thinning, when the parameters evaluated are the best.
Možnosti výsadby prostokořenného sadebního materiálu v zimním období
Vacková, Jana
The goal of this thesis is to elaborate the possibilities of winter time planting of bare rooted planting material. Because of this were there planted two bathces of plants on the planting area. One in winter time, the other in spring. With both the planting batches there was used the same planting material. There were planted two wood plants – spruce and beech, both in bare rooted and root covered variante. During the groth there happend two measurings. The control one in June, the final one at the end of the vegetation period. The final measuring was made on 100 subjects from each variante. The lower amount was tested only by the root covered spruece due to high losses. By each subject there were mesured these conditions: the height ot hte above ground plant parts in the time of planting and the difference at the time of last measuring, the diametr of the root collar, the lenght and width of the assimilation aparatus. There were also evidated conditions like the color tone of leves, the type of damage, multiplicity of the trunk and losses. Results showed that it is much better to do the planting of bare rooted spruece in spring time. The bare rooted beech is different case – here is absolutely better the winter planting time option. It shows better results. In addition it was shown that the root covered planting materiál is not optimal for spring planting time.
Zpracování strategického scénáře vývoje zásob a těžeb buku na ŠLP "Masarykův les" Křtiny s výhledem na 30 let
Mašek, Michal
This piece of work seeks to suggest an optimal strategy for beech felling to avoid high felling fluctuations in the future. This particular suggestion is based on the last two forest management plans. Divisions based on the age class in the last two decades were analysed (described?) and compared with each other. The calculations of felling plan were based on two different scenarios. Based on felling balance comparison, both scenarios could be used. The second scenario is preferred based on economic reasons.
Přirozená obnova buku v těsné blízkosti zlínské aglomerace
Vyoral, Martin
Thesis examines problems with natural regeneration, arising from the issue of the immediate response of forests to large agglomerations. Quantifies the damaged area recreation sites load and seeks reasonable consistency of production and recreational functions of forests. Damage to land in transects achieved average 38%. The aim of this work was to focus on the natural regeneration of beech forest in the district where there are built tourist-educational-recreational complex Lazy, which has a major impact on forest management in the locality. On the question of liability for bodily injury and property on built structures (trail, gazebos, jungle gym), the law firm entered report that refutes the information from information boards that entry into the forest is at your own risk. The issue of security was also prepared a questionnaire to the evaluation finds considerable ignorance of the respondents on the question of safety rules during the stay in the woods. Risks associated with the movement of forest mechanization poorly evaluated 58% of respondents.
Fenologická sledování u buku lesního (Fagus sylvatica L.) s ohledem na výškový gradient porostů
Popelková, Markéta
In this work is processed observations of phenological phases with beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) at two sites differing altitude vegetation. First reference research area is located at ŠLP ML Křtiny, district Bílovice Svitavou with altitude 320 meters, which was founded in 2011. The second research area belongs to the Institute of Forest Ecology, Mendel University Rájec - Němčice with altitude 625 meters, that area is the observation of mixed vegetation carried out since 2004. the selected trees were evaluated onset and duration of each phenological phases in relation to air temperatures of the year in the surveyed forests.
Limity a možnosti přirozené obnovy buku lesního na LHC Kolowratské lesy
Zahradník, Tomáš
The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the possibility of natural regeneration of beech forest and its application to FMU Kolowrat forests. Selection of research areas was based on groups of forest types and by other characteristics such as different exposure, altitude and stocking of the stands. This thesis is based on the method of evaluation transect in forest stands. For each tree in the transect were measured these characteristics: height, the last increment of terminal, thickness of the root collar, shape and height of the deployment crown, number of lateral branches and their average game damage and other damage. Each of these characteristics were statistically evaluated. The result of this thesis shows that natural regeneration of beech is possible in whole evaluated area. From a biological and ecological perspective, is natural regeneration of beech convenient way for forest regeneration on those sites.
Analýza tvorby dřeva buku lesního (Fagus sylvatica L.) na buněčné úrovni na výzkumné ploše Rájec - Holíkov
Porvalík, Radim
The content of this diploma thesis is the analysis of the formation of beech wood (Fagus sylvatica L.) at the cellular level, ie xylogenesis in the research area Rájec - Holíkov, which is located in the Drahanská Highlands. Specifically, this study focused on the activity of cells in the cambial zone and the differentiation of the new annual ring on individual days (DOY) during the 2016 growing season compared to 2015, when samples were taken (Trephor tool) regularly once a week using so-called micro-bore. Permanent microscopic slides were created from these, which were subsequently examined. The activity of cells in the cambial zone was started in 2015 and 2016 in the last week of April at a temperature of 8.3 ° C. The zone of secondary cell wall (SW) formation and gradual cell lignification was evident two weeks after the onset of postcambial growth until the end of August. After the application of the Gompertz function, the creation of a new annual ring took an average of 91 days in 2015 and its size was 1252.7 μm. The year 2016 was similar, the size was 1229.2 μm. The average time of creation of a new annual ring was higher, namely 117 days.
Evaluation of the physiological status of European beech in its plantings on localities following the gradient of its ecological valence
Palouš, Daniel ; Albrechtová, Jana (advisor) ; Tomášková, Ivana (referee)
European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) is one of the dominant tree species in Europe, presenting a keystone species for forest ecosystem functioning. The ongoing climate change alters the environmental conditions in the areas of the current distribution of European beech, leading to stress. Concerning the critical health status of forests in the Czech Republic and other European countries, it's even more urgent to monitor the health status of forests. For this, tools for early detection of a stand's physiological status decline are needed. The aforementioned tools can consist of indicators of the physiological status suggested by this thesis. This thesis aims to evaluate the applicability and sensitivity of the preselected set of indicators of the physiological status of European beech to the gradient of environmental conditions (temperature, precipitation) within its ecological valence. Four stands of European beech presenting the gradient of beech's ecological valence were observed over the peak of one vegetation season. Stand Kocanda presented the microclimatic and ecological optimum; stand Hradecko was on the lower margin of the altitudinal gradient of European beech distribution and presented the limit of low water availability; stand Deštné was on the upper margin of the altitudinal gradient of...
